About Us

The (Information, Organization and Technopreneurship) i-OTe Research Group is multidisciplinary, emphasizing the use of technology as a new resource in the era of Society 5.0. Developments in the Internet and computer-based information systems have contributed significantly to enhancing social and community innovation. i-OTe serves as a research group that aims to bridge society’s growing need for technological transformation. Its central question is how information technology can be socially adopted by communities and organizations, and how these resources can then be leveraged to foster entrepreneurship.

We employ various theoretical approaches to investigate our research questions, including information science, informatics, organizational science, and computing. The aim of this initiative is to build models and abstractions that address societal challenges, such as the development of Management Information Systems (MIS), Knowledge Management Systems (KMS), and Decision Support Systems (DSS). i-OTe also explores technology-based entrepreneurial processes and the development of IT-related products. Additional topics include, but are not limited to, university–industry collaboration, technology and business incubators, and knowledge valorization.

We fully support community engagement activities, including the dissemination and transfer of scientific and technological knowledge to the public. Our researchers maintain close relationships with government and private-sector stakeholders, enabling the effective transfer of expertise and technology.
